[welmac-org] Kapiti Help desk and iPad group registrations

Hi folks

I was hoping to get this out last night and in more detail but ran out of time.

We have several registrations for the Kapiti help desk and iPad group and I am on the hunt for potential tutors. Most of the people in the help desk are wanting iPad help but there will be a few Mac questions.

Shane will be running the iPad group meeting, but might be able to do some tutoring if the group meeting doesn't occupy the full time of the help desk. I'm expecting to be mostly helping with iPad questions, plus Kay's question about a new Mac.

Here is a quick summary of the confirmed registrations and one possible registration.

iPad group

Pat Rosier
(plus several people who will also want to attend the help desk for individual support)

Help desk

Dave Rohde, Olwen Rohde
Unspecified iPad help, also want to attend the iPad group

Ann Cherrington, Sue Burrell
Learning basic iPad usage, trouble using camera. May also want to attend the iPad group.

Jeanette Strange, Kay Cresswell
iPad help including Dropbox, other unspecified issues. Advice on buying new Mac.

Bryan Miller
Printing e-mail attachments to a non-wireless printer from an iPad. Also wants to attend the iPad group, can demo an app called "Pilot" for keeping records for diabetes.

Carole Sweney
Creating and using Smart Mailboxes (presumably on the Mac, but didn't say)
How to open a .msg file (deleted an e-mail on her computer and wants to send it to herself again from the provider's site)

Possible registrations

Sharyn Haigh
Expressed interest at the Wellington meeting but hasn't confirmed. Followup query in progress.
