As discussed at the committee meeting we were planning to take up Graeme’s offer of borrowing his PO box for WelMac and were just waiting for him to be able to arrange getting more keys cut.

I have just got a new business PO Box at Waterloo Quay (closer to my new work, and it has car parking and more reasonable business hours for collecting parcels). I will be phasing out my old box at Marion Street over the next year. I’m willing to extend the same offer to WelMac, so WelMac can use my box at no cost. This will be slightly easier than using Graeme’s box as it means we don’t need to get any extra keys cut - I can give my spare key to Shane and collect WelMac mail when I’m getting my own.

I checked with the staff at the Waterloo Quay box lobby and as it is a business box they don’t do any validation of the business name on mail - they only care about the box number.

If the committee is happy with this minor change of plans, we can start advertising the new box number in this month’s issue of Capital Apple, and we can aim to phase out PO Box 6642 by about March next year.

I’ve already checked with Graeme and he is fine with going either way - he hasn’t had a chance to get the keys yet as he has been away.
