Thanks for your very informative email.
When I am talking about HD it is the 422 8bits uncompressed formats, e.g. a XGA movie transfer is already 5.5 GB for 3.5 minutes

Ok thanks, one particular point for me would be the quality of the Mac screens.

I am not using DV as it is inducing a lot of artifacts... 
and I am actually about to make the move to 10bits uncompressed rather than 8 for the depth color...
