[WelMac] EasyFind

I just found a neat little application for file finding if you're using
Tiger (OS X 10.4).

One of the factors that had stopped me from migrating my main work
machine to Tiger was that I don't like the way Spotlight works in
Tiger. Spotlight is great if you want to find abstruse stuff buried
inside the contents of a file, but even then it doesn't search all the
directories.

Since I mainly use "Find" to locate files which I have misplaced, or
forgotten where I put them, I much preferred the version of the Find
command in the earlier versions of OS X.

However, thanks to MacWorld (USA) I have now discovered EasyFind
(version 3.8.1. This is free and it works well under OS X 10.4.5 to do
exactly what I want it to do: to find files wherever they might be on
my hard drive. I probably won't use them much but there are lots of
features e.g. wild card expressions, AND/OR searches etc. I like it.

The app can be found at www.devon-technologies.com. (Click on the
"products" tab and you'll find it under "Freeware Applications")

Maybe others will find this useful too.
